HORIZON FOREST PRODUCTS IS GROWING
Horizon Forest Products is pleased to welcome Oscar Velasquez to the Houston Branch as the Operations Manager as of August 7, 2017. Oscar comes to us with a background in Operations and Warehouse Management in the oil and gas industry. He is a native of Houston and is currently a part-time student working on his degree in Business Management Administration. Oscar has a charity based mindset, which we also embrace here at Horizon. He works with Houston’s youth through an organization called Battlegroundz, which helps create purpose for the youth in the local communities.
“I could tell from the start that he was curious about this position and not just looking for a job. He asked good questions and tossed out scenario questions, which he still does now. As we know from John Maxwell, curiosity leads to imagination and creativity which gets things done. Oscar is a “get things done” sort of guy!” – Alan Blake, Houston Branch Manager for Horizon Forest Products.
